My name is Gabriela Alonso. I'm an amateur photographer. I love to take photos and then do some photo editing. My companion right now is my Nikon Coolpix S6100. It isn't a DSLR but for now it's perfect for the little experience I have. I hope to buy myself a DSLR in the future to experiment with the manual settings and maybe get a certificate as well. For now I'll explore different angles, lighting and colours. I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoy taking them.

Where I live it has been sunny for at least two weeks now and the warmth of the days have been increasing. Finally we got some showers during the weekend and fortunately I was carrying my camera! I’ve been so busy with work, I don’t go out just to take pictures since I have no time for myself.

This shots were taken at a friend’s backyard right after it stopped raining (except for one of the two photos of the daisies that was taken before the rain started). One of the things I love about the rain is when it stops, as all the flowers have rain drops and look like they have crystals; they look glamorous.

I hope you like these photos and I hope I can get more sets going your way more often.

Thanks for visiting! :)

Watch your thoughts,
for they become words.
Watch your words,
for they become actions.
Watch your actions,
for they become…habits.
Watch your habits,
for they become your character.
And watch your character,
for it becomes your destiny!

What we think, we become.

Margaret Thatcher, “The Iron Lady”

I haven’t been uploading photos lately because I’ve been studying for finals. Today I wrote my last final so I’m very happy and relaxed. Now I that I have more time for myself, I want to go at least once a week to capture new and interesting photos. The only problem is my computer. The USB ports are not working properly! Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. Technology…

These photos were taken a few days ago at my landlord’s backyard. The contrasting colours between the violet and yellow flowers and the vibrance of the forget-me-not flowers was unbelievable; especially since the forget-me-nots are in the shape of a question mark! I couldn’t suppress the urge of grabbing my camera and snapping some shots.

Thank you for visiting! :)
